  Good value for money food, a decent selection of real ales if that is what you like (a taster offered to my partner so it was easier to choose).
  Always a friendly welcome from the landlady and bar staff alike.
  Great quiz on a Sunday night with free sandwiches and beer tokens as prizes.
  Ps the aforementioned "landlord " is no longer there.

  Oh god.
  5 of us walked in and ordered four points of one of the hand-pulled on offer.... and a G&T.
  The G&T was the only thing that didn't go back to the bar.
  
  The landlady's/manager's response...?
  "Yeah, had a feeling that was going off when I was pulling it" -- so why continue to serve it??
  
  More telling was the response from local guy sat at the bar (once the bar staff had gone to check/change/take off the barrel)
  "It's off, yes? Hmm.... that's why I only ever drink from bottles in here. The pints are disgusting"
